When she’s not reading or writing, you can find her with family, traveling and watching period dramas. And space documentaries. Weird, right?

MY REVIEW

Eloise Corbyn and Archer Vale have been antagonists for half a lifetime. But neither can forget the shared kiss at a masquerade ball two years ago. When Eloise’s newest fossil excavation site is threatened by one of Archer’s pending business deals, he must choose whether to save his pocketbook and reputation or support Eloise’s dream.

I loved Eloise and Archer’s prickly relationship. His astonishing concession that she “would not be hard to love” is the stuff of swoon-worthy slow burn romance. The historical component about the Victorian fossil craze added interest to the story, and of course, the cover is absolutely gorgeous.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Looking her over more closely, he said, “Are you quite well? You’ve gone pink.”

“Have I?”

His gaze lingered, cool and curious and too sharp.

“You’re imagining me in my bathing costume,” he said with irritating accuracy.

Her spine straightened at once. “I most certainly am not.”

He leaned closer. “It’s blue, in case you were wondering, and the drawers”–he drew the word out–“come to about here.” He made one of his rare smiles as he indicated a place an inch above his knee. “I know how you prize accuracy in your observations.”
